Donna Maibaum calls herself the chief cook and bottle washer in Ricart’s accounting office. She works with titles and handles a variety of details for the office.
Donna joined Ricart in 1988 in Ricart’s used car operations.
Donna holds an associate’s degree in accounting from Bliss Business College. She was born in Beechgrove, IN but she has lived in Central Ohio since she was a child.
She and her husband of 30 years live on two acres in Baltimore. They have three cats and six dogs. The dogs range from an 18-pound Dachshund to a 121-pound Anatolian Shepherd, and all of them are strays or rescues.
Donna actively supports local animal rescue organizations, including Citizens for Humane Action. Among her projects: Over the winter months, she sews dog pads for Beagles “R” Us and crochets afghans for the Harlequin Haven Great Dane Rescue.
But in the summer, Donna gardens. She and her husband plant a 24-foot by 56-foot garden each year. She cans much of what she grows. She also makes vegetable soup that she donates each year to a local homeless shelter.
The message that she would like to share: Please spay and neuter your animals.
