Joey Gates Alternative Marketing Manager

Few people who come to the Ricart Mega Mall will meet Joey Gates, but that doesn’t mean they haven’t already had contact. Working in alternative marketing and customer development, Joey handles many of the electronic messages that Ricart sends to its customers.

Joey joined Ricart in 1996 and has worked as a product specialist, a cashier, an operator and a service advisor. Ford has certified Joey in Internet marketing.

Joey is an Upstate New York native. He holds a bachelor’s degree in English from SUNY Cortland and worked for many years in broadcast radio in New York.

Joey is especially proud of his children: His older daughter recently graduated from OSU. His younger daughter is a student at Hocking College. His stepson Aric lives in New York and has been working in the building trades.

Joey is also a newlywed: He and his wife Laura were married Dec. 21.

In his spare time, he works as an editor for a number of Web sites and plays guitar. He has an extensive collection of rock music, which ranges from the Beatles to the NOFX and The Dead.
