Allen Martin Greeter and Valet

Allen Martin is a greeter at the Ricart Welcome Center. He helps Ricart guests find their way to the service they’re looking for at the 67-acre Ricart Mega Mall.

He also works one day a week at Ricart Service as a valet and at the filling station one day a week. He joined Ricart in 2008 as a security guard at the Ricart Chevrolet store.

Allen is the go-to guy when it comes to ice cream. He owned Knights Ice Cream, which operated stores on Indianola Avenue in Columbus and on South Cleveland Avenue in Westerville for many years. He also worked for 20 years with the State of Ohio, chiefly with the Ohio Department of Liquor Control and the Ohio Auditor’s office when Jim Rhodes was state auditor. He also served in the U.S. Army for two years.

He and his wife live in Columbus. They have two children.

In his spare time, he enjoys listening to ballgames and watching sports on TV.
