The late Paul F. Ricart founded Ricart Ford in Canal Winchester, but it was his two sons -- Fred Ricart and Rhett Ricart -- who grew the company to the mega business it is today: a 67-acre campus in southeast Columbus that includes six brands and a huge used car showroom.
Fred is in charge of Ricart's advertising and marketing, while Rhett works behind-the-scenes on day-to-day operations. What else do you need to know about Rhett? He earned his bachelor's degree from the Ohio State University in three years. He has three wonderful children, including Jared who works at the dealership. Rhett is married to Nicole Marie Gilligan.
He has also climbed mountains. Really. Think Kilimanjaro. Mont Blanc. Cayambe in Ecuador and Mount Rainier in Washington.
Rhett is active in the Columbus and Franklin County communities. He is a member of the Greater Columbus Sports Commission and a trustee with the Franklin County Convention Facilities Authority. He is a past trustee of the Ohio Automobile Dealers Association.
As a rule of thumb, Rhett's favorite charities are causes that support education, the homeless and the Greater Columbus community.
